My Journey


How this Journey happened for me

I am creative, energetic, easy-to-laugh, and curious.  I embrace life for the rich relationships I have, the music, art, and nature I experience, and the vibrant food I eat.  I usually have more passion than I know what to do with, but that has not always been the case.

My Achilles Heel
Migraines, anxiety and depression have plagued me since childhood.   A weak immune system made me susceptible to any bug looking to hitch a ride.  I often battled digestive issues, craved sweets, lacked confidence. I found that traditional medicine offered only band-aids or at best, limited solutions. 

Pain is a big motivator for me and I wanted to feel good all of the time to live a full, vibrant and vital life!

As a young adult, I began to seek out natural solutions for myself; exercise, nutritional supplements, herbs and whole foods.  I saw incremental improvements. I made more changes; expanding my exercise to include Yoga, strength training, Pilates and cardio.  I added wellness therapies like Massage, Reiki, Chiropractic, CranioSacral therapy, breath work, Acupuncture, Meditation and more.  I added more organic and nutrient dense foods into my diet and fine-tuned my nutritional supplementation. 



The cloud of depression lifted, the life-limiting anxiety dissipated, the digestive issues disappeared.  My life began to accelerate in creativity, passion and bliss.

Opportunity Knocked
An opportunity presented itself at work to be involved in a company-wide wellness initiative.  I jumped on it!  Along with a team of creative, energetic and passionate people, we created a comprehensive wellness program intended to help people develop healthy lifestyle habits.  The program incorporated fitness, nutrition, behavioral modification, support through mentors and partners and team orientation with challenges and incentives.   I managed this program for 4 years, mentored many individuals and changed lives.   I LOVED this rewarding and meaningful work.  This experience changed the trajectory of my life.

How could I make this my Life's Work?
Knowing the value of massage to the health of my physical and energetic body, and having a positive experience with physical therapy I sought to learn a healing modality – Thai Massage.  I find this ancient healing modality; often referred to as “assisted yoga”, deeply therapeutic, energetically balancing and great way to connect with and facilitate healing and wellness of my clients.

Still honing my own knowledge of nutrition and being aware of how little people understood the link between nutrition and health; reinforced through my experiences with the wellness program, I sought out a school of nutrition to learn more. 

I enrolled in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, a holistic school with a mission to “…improve the health and happiness of Americans and through that process, create a ripple effect that transforms the world”.  This concept rang true for me.

So, now I live a rewarding, purpose-driven life helping people create vital bodies so they may live vibrant, and healthy, happy, balanced lives.
